"Since May 2016, I have worked with WV State Senators Charles Trump, Craig Blair, and more recently Patricia Rucker. Hampshire County EMS, and the Hampshire County VFD Association. Through these meetings, we have identified 12 over-reaches of state government that have cost us volunteers. We now have a state Senate sub-committee to address volunteer issues and propose legislation to help volunteerism in Hampshire County AND the State. I will continue to work to help the citizens of Hampshire County."

 LIST OF ISSUES

EDUCATION

Terry is the only candidate that has stood with a state coalition working to repeal Common Core, the Federal take-over of our education system, in WV.

PROPERTY RIGHTS

Terry has stood with others in Hampshire County fighting against zoning.  He also supports protecting our property rights. He opposes raising taxes, and government intrusion.

HEALTHCARE

Terry supports the free and open market, and believes citizens should be able to purchase healthcare across state lines and should be open to group enrollment. For example, If you belong to CEO (homemaker) groups, Farm Bureau, the Ruritan, a volunteer fire or EMS, you should be able to buy health care as a group to leverage affordable plans.

2nd AMENDMENT

Terry supports the Second Amendment and will propose a resolution to stop any federal legislation or executive order that would go against the right to keep and bear arms in Hampshire County.

VOLUNTEERISM

I continue to work with Senators Charles Trump, Craig Blair, and  Patricia Rucker, Delegates Eric Householder, Jim Butler and others for incentives to increase volunteerism. One is tax credits for volunteers to off-set the cost of training and licensures.
